Rotating Filter Plates for Heavy-Duty Applications
The Sparkler® HRC is designed to take advantage of the benefits of both horizontal filter plate and vertical filter plates. During the precoat (if applicable) and filtration cycles the filter plates remain in horizontal position. The filter plates are rotated to a vertical position for cake discharge, thus it is unnecessary to open the filter for cleaning.

HRC models can be used with wet or dry cake discharge. Popular options include full automation, cake breakers, individual outlets, sight glasses, and heating/cooling coils.
Applications using diatomaceous earth (DE) and activated carbon (activated charcoal) are particularly suited for this model. Common materials of construction include 304 S.S., 316 S.S., 304 L.S.S., 316 L.S.S., Hastelloy, Carbon Steel, Nickel, Titanium and Monel. Standard design pressure is 60 PSIG but higher design pressure is available.

Wide range of finishes are available for wetted and non-wetted parts. Wide range of gasket material available including BUNA, Neoprene, EPDM, Viton, Silicone, Teflon and Teflon Encapsulated. Standard differential pressure is 50 PSI but the HRC can accommodate higher pressure if needed. Valves and piping, finishes, design pressure, deferential pressure, air vent, pressure gauge, tank ports and cover ports can be customized to fit your needs.
