The WO is a wash-off horizontal leaf filter where the filter plates pull as a unit from the vessel and do not require disassembly for hosing off the cake outside the tank. Either welded wire mesh or cloth bag media is used. The WOT or wash-off tilt filter has an internal sluice header and tilts from the vertical tank position to the horizontal for washing-off cake without opening the tank. Both the WO and the WOT Filters are for processes utilizing cloth, synthetic or wire mesh filter media. Precoating, usually with DE or carbon, is required but there is no disassembly of plate bundle for cake removal. 

The wash-off type filter in many cases refers to the cartridge used in the filter tank. These cartridges can be supplied to fit most existing Sparkler® Filter Horizontal Plate Filter Vessels. 




 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

Horizontal Filter Plate models utilize a single sealing area, are designed to ASME specifications and the filter plates are totally enclosed. Common materials of construction include 304 S.S., 316 S.S., 304 L.S.S., 316 L.S.S., DUplex, Hastelloy, Carbon Steel, Nickel, Titanium and Monel. Models can be supplied with a jacket if required, commonly in the previously mentioned materials. Standard cartridges are available in 18" and 33" models, but customization is possible. Deep and Extra Deep plate spacing is available to increase cake capacity or filter area. Wide range of finishes are available for wetted and non-wetted parts. Wide range of gasket material available including BUNA, Neoprene, EPDM, Viton, Silicone, Teflon and Teflon Encapsulated. Differential pressure and tank pressure are also customizable. Filter mounting, valves and piping, finishes, design pressure, deferential pressure, air vent, pressure gauge, tank ports, jacket ports and cover ports can be customized to fit your needs.
