Since the filtering surface of the Sparkler Reverse Horizontal Plate Filter is in the same position of the standard horizontal plate filter, it offers all of the stable filtering features as the standard horizontal plate filter. Advantages to the Reverse Flow design are that: the filter vessel only comes in contact with filtered product leaving the tank clean; internal filter plate cartridge assembly fully contains cake; complete recovery of product by chasing or gas blow down; cartridge parts can be assembled in a take-apart fashion so that it can be used in a sanitary service; cake washing is possible by displacement washing with wash liquid.
